Fans of West Ham United have reacted to news which has been shared on players’ wages with the club in the event of relegation.
On Monday, it was revealed that should the club suffer relegation from the Premier League, players’ wages will be halved which has sparked fears of a ‘mass exodus’ (as per Daily Mail), which fans were not bothered about (via West Ham News).
West Ham players will have their wages halved if they suffer relegation, leaving the club facing a mass exodus if they lost their top-flight status.

Should have halved their wages since the start of season, not many of them deserve the pay they’re getting

Most players would leave even if they doubled their wages after relegation.

Would you be bothered if more than 75% of the current squad left if the club were relegated? No, I have no feeling of attachment to themYes, we need more stability not less of it |
The news had arisen due to the club’s lowly league position, with the Hammers sitting in the relegation spots, trailing Aston Villa by one point (as per BBC).
David Moyes’ side is now also without a win in England’s top-flight since the Scotsman’s first game in charge on 1st January, the 4-0 victory over Bournemouth (per BBC), leaving many frustrated.
Every cloud….

What do we think?
As many supporters have mentioned, it is the current players who would see the side relegated so it is sensible business to have a clause which will half their wages and if they leave, then they leave.
Hopefully, with the incomings of Tomas Soucek and Jarrod Bowen in the final week of the transfer window, can help the Hammers stay afloat.
