Supporters of West Ham United have fumed over a club announcement which stated that the clash with Manchester City has been rearranged for Wednesday 19th February.
Following the game’s postponement on Sunday due to extreme weather conditions (via Man City), the Hammers announced on Tuesday afternoon the new date and kick-off time of 7:30 pm (per West Ham), which led to fury.
Our @premierleague away fixture at @ManCity has been rescheduled for Wednesday 19 February at 7.30pm.
The Club is offering free return coach travel for all West Ham United fans attending. Details ??

So much for the Winter break then!

Joke decision. Total disregard for the fans once again. And you do know 70% of fans live nowhere near ground so coach is useless,£15 credit would be a more genuine offer. Should be playing it this weekend!!!!

Think I’ll give that one a miss, thanks all the same. pic.twitter.com/1AHkWUVo04

Are you disappointed with the date of the rearranged clash with Man City?Yes, it's not considerate of supportersNo, it doesn't seem too bad to me |
Due to the Premier League’s winter break, there had originally been a ‘headache’ over when the game was likely to be rearranged for and, reportedly, both clubs said ‘no’ to playing the fixture during the upcoming weekend (as per Evening Standard).
However, with the game now set to take place midweek, the trip from London to Manchester arranged at short notice does not seem appealing to many Hammers fans.
Why have we agreed to that? We should have played it later when city have games to fit. Respect the season break

Absolute joke. Does anyone ever consider the fans? Many of us travel by trains and have to work! Should have refused another midweek game!

I give up why have we agreed to that? then Liverpool a few days later great for team confidence ??

You’ve agreed to this? Are you even more clueless than was first thought?

What do we think?
As many West Ham supporters have mentioned, it does seem a little bit of a stretch to ask supporters to plan the long-distance trip to Manchester midweek and at short notice.
However, the club has offered free coach travel to any supporter still wanting to attend (per West Ham), which is a nice gesture and will be a benefit to those still able to go.
