A lot of West Ham United fans have ripped into Arthur Masuaku after the Hammers were beaten 2-0 by Manchester City, but this was a comfortable win for Pep Guardiola’s men.
City had 78% possession 20 shots with seven on target West Ham, on the other hand, managed three shots all game and their new signing Jarrod Bowen as well as Felipe Anderson, and Sebastien Haller started the match on the bench.
Is Masuaku West Ham's worst player?
Yes
No
Masuaku was tasked with dealing with Bernardo Silva, and according to football.london couldn’t cope as he earned himself a pitiful 4/10 rating.
WhoScored also thought the Frenchman played poorly and gave him a 6.24 rating.
The former Olympiacos man managed to complete just 63.3% of his passes in a poor display.
Certainly, these West Ham fans have not held back in their assessment of Masuaku.
Never play Masuaku again and I’m a happy man

Masuaku biggest fraud in premier league football! Buzzing we gave him a 5 year contract last year!

Noble, Masuaku and Snodgrass should not wear that shirt again! 3 of the worst players I have seen.

Embarrassing 3 at the back is gonna send us down and someone please get Masuaku out of this club he’s horrendous

Masuaku for me is the worst example of a ‘professional’ footballer. Barely breaks sweat and shows complete lack of desire. How Moyes can select him when we need players who wil at least out a shift in and compete is beyond me.

Masuaku is one of the worst players West Ham has ever had..

On another note, Masuaku is the worst defender I have seen for us since Carl Jenkinson. Got skinned about 10 times today. Woeful.

Cresswell one of the better players, only thing that let him down was the tactics & playing next to the thickest professional footballer I’ve ever seen in Masuaku, bloke was awful tonight.

Completely agree Mike. I was actually bored watching us. Watching Masuaku trying to find his own teammate is just hilarious. Only positives Ogbonna, Cresswell had solid games. There where opportunities to counter attack only for the players to pass back or sideways ?

Moyes set up is a disgrace, no fight, passion and aggression. Masuaku looks like he dancing on ice.

What do we think?
Masuaku was not the only Hammers player to turn in a poor performance, but he struggled throughout and will have to better for West Ham’s trip to Liverpool.
