Nottingham Forest fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter discussing the possibility of losing star man Matty Cash if promotion is not achieved this season.
Cash, who has been playing at right-back under Sabri Lamouchi, has been in fine form for Forest this season, scoring three and assisting four times in his 32 appearances for the Reds, including a dramatic stoppage-time equaliser at West Brom last weekend.
Due to his impressive performances, Forest fans are concerned that, should they fail to achieve promotion to the Premier League, the £3.6 million-rated man (as per Transfermarkt) will attract a lot of interest in the summer transfer market, and ultimately leave the club.

In the past it’s been said about Reid, Dawson, Brereton, Burke and now Cash. Forest are just incredible and sporting talent and nurturing talent if Cash goes I bet there’s somebody else waiting for their chance.

What do we think?
Cash, has not only been Nottingham Forest’s best performer this season with an average WhoScored match rating of 7.24, but also one of the best in the Championship, ranking 18th on WhoScored’s Championship player statistics.
If Forest do fail to get promoted, it is very hard to imagine Matty Cash hanging around in the second tier for another season.
