Supporters of West Ham United have fumed over a club announcement which stated that the clash with Manchester City has been rearranged for Wednesday 19th February.

Following the game’s postponement on Sunday due to extreme weather conditions (via Man City), the Hammers announced on Tuesday afternoon the new date and kick-off time of 7:30 pm (per West Ham), which led to fury.

Are you disappointed with the date of the rearranged clash with Man City?

Yes, it's not considerate of supporters

No, it doesn't seem too bad to me

Due to the Premier League’s winter break, there had originally been a ‘headache’ over when the game was likely to be rearranged for and, reportedly, both clubs said ‘no’ to playing the fixture during the upcoming weekend (as per Evening Standard).

However, with the game now set to take place midweek, the trip from London to Manchester arranged at short notice does not seem appealing to many Hammers fans.

What do we think?

As many West Ham supporters have mentioned, it does seem a little bit of a stretch to ask supporters to plan the long-distance trip to Manchester midweek and at short notice.

However, the club has offered free coach travel to any supporter still wanting to attend (per West Ham), which is a nice gesture and will be a benefit to those still able to go.
