Supporters of West Ham United have been fuming at David Moyes after the Hammers’ manager sent a message to the supporters.
In an interview with Football Daily, the Scottish manager urged supporters to ‘stick with the team’ despite their current position in the Premier League table (via @COYIrons_com), which had fans feeling furious.

Moyes message to the fans get behind the team ???? We have been behind the team before you turned up and long after you leave (again) we are the ones who are always here ..we are hoping the team do something for us . Fully behind the team it’s the board we want out #GSBOUT

We have been behind the team, we are having the energy & joy of supporting our team sucked out of us by laziness & predictable collapses week in week out
The players need to start giving back & we will be right up for it…— Harry ?? (@HarryTheHammer_) February 18, 2020
Dare to be critical of the fans? This club’s fan base has put up with a lot of disappointment, it’s up to the manager and team to prove that they deserve the support that comes from the fans who not only turn up but are around the world! Cheek!

At the time of Moyes arrival in late December, the former Manchester United manager stated that winning was “what I do” (as per BBC), however, supporters have seen little evidence of that since his arrival (per BBC).
Was it a mistake for West Ham to re-appoint David Moyes as manager?
Yes, he should never have come back
No, he's a good manager, will keep us up
So, following the 56-year-old manager’s comments on supporters backing the club, fans continued to air their fury that he would ask for their backing with little motivation from the pitch.
Perhaps he could stop ‘sticking’ with the same plan that clearly ISN’T working?
Stick two up top. Confirm he is not going to start with Lanzini unless he shows a serious improvement in form and that he will NEVER pick Masuaku EVER again.
That might give us something to support.— Mustrum Ridcully (@kirok1) February 18, 2020
We’ll be there but you’ve got to sort it out on he pitch.

What do we think?
Judging from the responses it is clear to see that supporters were left a little frustrated by Moyes’ comments on wanting to have the fans stick behind the team.
Over the Scotsman’s first stint with the club in the 2017/18 season, though, Moyes managed only a 1.19 points per game total over 31 games (per Transfermarkt), which will do little to inspire supporters.
