Spurs fans have been discussing some quotes from Damien Comolli and Billy Beane on Daniel Levy.
Comolli, who was sacked from his role as Sporting Director at Spurs back in 2008, discussed Levy in his appearance on the Ornstein and Chapman podcast. When asked about the chairman of the North London club, he said: “I was discussing this with Billy Beane, keeping in mind Billy’s one of the best sporting executives of all time, he said, ‘what people should understand is, across all sports, Daniel Levy is one of the best executives’.”
He also discussed Spurs fans potentially wanting Levy to leave the club, saying: “I think it is so ludicrous, I don’t know what to say. I think they should have a statue of Daniel Levy outside the stadium. Daniel took the club into a dimension that I never thought he would take that club, that quickly, into.”
Levy in or Levy out?

Reaction from Spurs fans to Comolli and Beane’s quotes on Levy can be seen in the tweets below.
People just want us to sign and sign and sign, but there’s been plenty of investment into the squad recently in other departments. Just signed 3 players who are proving to be a success this season. I believe we need 2 more transfer windows under Jose and we will be flying.

What Levy has built is for the future while still trying to compete. It’s about success being built for the long term rather than a one or two season wonder. It’s a business built to be sustained and hopefully hugely successful.

These Spurs fans seem to be fans of the work that Levy has done during his time at the North London club.
What do we think?
There can be no doubt that Levy has done a fantastic job financially, with Spurs recently named as the eighth-richest side in world football, but with just one trophy since the new millennium, he needs to find a way to translate that financial success to success on the pitch.
