Liverpool fans have been reacting on Twitter to the latest update surrounding a potential transfer move for RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner.
This comes after Liverpool news Twitter account @LFCTransferRoom shared a post on their page relaying quotes made by James Pearce regarding the club’s stance on Werner.
In a Q&A for The Athletic, Pearce revealed that Jurgen Klopp “really likes” the striker, before adding that he expects the Merseyside club to “make an approach” for Werner “in the coming weeks”.

The 23-year-old has been Leipzig’s star man this season, scoring 27 goals and providing 11 assists in 33 appearances in all competitions for the German side (per Transfermarkt). Whether the club will make a move for the German is yet to be seen, but according to Pearce, the fans may not have to wait that long to see if the club are genuinely interested in bringing Werner to Anfield.
