Supporters of Wolverhampton Wanderers have been reacting to a post from Tim Spiers following defeat in the Europa League away leg to Espanyol.
Following the defeat in Barcelona, Spiers tweeted stating that ‘it rarely leads to victories’ when Nuno Espirito Santo rotates his squad (per Tim Spiers), which had fans worrying.
Just the 19 goals scored in 7 Europa away games for Wolves.
First defeat on the road tonight but the barmy army don't seem too fussed, still up there singing and out on the lager in a bit.
When Nuno rotates it rarely leads to victories and it's the same again tonight.

Very sloppy tonight!! Kilman & MGW not good enough for this level in my opinion.

Just shows our lack of squad depth

That just show’s our quality and lack of depth out side are starting eleven, just not good enough.

Where do Wolves most need to focus their recruitment in the summer transfer window?
Goalkeeper
Defence
Midfield
Attack
So, with the side going from a convincing victory to defeat after five changes, supporters continued to stress over the lack of quality in the squad’s depth. Following the 3-0 victory over Norwich City last weekend (per Sky Sports), Nuno Santo made five changes to his starting lineup for the clash with Espanyol (per Sky Sports).
Lack of striker lead to too many problems. No hold up play or ability to link the front 2 or 3

Totally agree couldn’t hold the ball up and bring others into play

Squad depth is fine though

What do we think?
One area that the Old Gold really seem to be struggling with, is only having one out-and-out striker in the first-team squad (per Transfermarkt), despite the January signing of Leonardo Campana (per Wolves).
Seemingly, that is also the concern for a number of Wolves supporters, as the last tongue-in-cheek comment sums up. So, hopefully, the Old Gold look to recruit upfront in the summer transfer window.
