Spurs fans were treated to a video of Toby Alderweireld celebrating Hugo Lloris’ penalty save against Manchester City on Twitter this week.
Talking THFC posted the video on Twitter after it was originally posted by the official club and fans have been loving the passion shown by the Belgian defender. The former Southampton man recently signed a new contract at the club and has been a regular in the side since the appointment of Jose Mourinho back in November.
Lloris’ penalty save against Pep Guardiola’s side did prove to be instrumental, as Mourinho’s side went on to win the game 2-0 and it was no surprise to see the Belgian international so delighted with the efforts of his captain. Spurs signed Alderweireld from Atletico Madrid in 2015 and he has gone on to 189 appearances in nearly five years at the North London club.

I love that Toby did this. The minute Sterling brought down Dele, the South Stand went from complacency to all out war by the time the penalty decision was made. Come on Spurs, let’s gooo!
