Morgan Fox has been voted as Sheffield Wednesday’s Player of the Month for January. The 26-year-old picked up the award for the second time this season having previously won it in October (as per the club’s official website). Having made six appearances during the month, the former Charlton Athletic defender won 47% of the vote.
Garry Monk’s side have been on a dreadful run of form of late winning just once in their last six Championship fixtures and Fox’s performances have been one of the few positives during a largely disappointing period.

What do we think?
The fans will be hoping a second Player of the Month award for Fox will inspire him to continue improving. Sheffield Wednesday travel to Barnsley this weekend desperately in need of three points to try and reignite their hopes of making the play-offs. The Tykes have also won just one of their last six Championship fixtures and require the points to aid their survival push.
