Former Premier League striker Jan Aage Fjortoft has shared a report from SportBild (as cited by the Daily Mail) which claims Liverpool are keen on landing Timo Werner from RB Leipzig this summer. The 23-year-old is said to have been identified by Jurgen Klopp as the perfect player to enhance the Reds’ frontline.

What do we think?
Timo Werner is enjoying an incredible season in the German top flight, having scored 20 goals in just 21 league appearances so far. The forward is known for his threat on the counter-attack, his dribbling ability and his tendency to cut inside defenders (as per WhoScored.com).
If the reports regarding the release clause are accurate, perhaps there is a decent chance the £67.5m-rated Werner (according to Transfermarkt) could bring his dazzling form to Anfield in the summer.
