Spurs fans were treated to some footage of Ryan Sessegnon showing “tidy footwork” from last week’s FA Cup replay win over Southampton.
The club tweeted out a video of the 19-year-old using skill to beat two Southampton players on the far side before his cross was blocked. The youngster has struggled for game time at the North London club since joining from Fulham in the summer – having made just eight starts in all competitions this season.
However, his performance against Southampton last week was regarded as one of his best in a Spurs shirt and the England U21 international will no doubt have given Jose Mourinho plenty to think about ahead of their trip to Villa Park this Sunday. Sessegnon has featured primarily in left-midfield under the Portuguese manager but has filled in at left-back recently following the injury to Ben Davies and Danny Rose’s move to Newcastle, but with Davies back in training, we may well begin to see more of the 19-year-old higher up the pitch in the upcoming games.
Where do you think Sessegnon should play?

These Spurs fans clearly enjoyed the video of Sessegnon and believe that the 19-year-old is starting to show some signs of improvement.
What do we think?
Sessegnon has shown with his performances against Southampton and Bayern Munich, when he also featured in a further-forward role, that he can be a useful player in Mourinho’s squad – and at just 19, he has a lot of time to improve.
