Liverpool fans have been reacting to comments made by Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti on the Reds’ title charge.
This comes after football journalist David Maddock shared a post on his official Twitter page relaying comments made by the Italian manager from his recent press conference.
Ancelotti revealed that he hopes Liverpool don’t win the title against his side before adding that “there are a lot of stadiums, so why Goodison Park.”

Liverpool currently find themselves 22 points ahead at the top of the Premier League table, a huge 40 points ahead of their Merseyside rivals Everton (per BBC Sport). According to BBC Sport if Manchester City lose one of their four Premier League games between now and 14 March then a win in the Merseyside derby on 16 March will see the Reds secure the title. After Ancelotti’s hopes this will not happen, some Liverpool fans have been discussing their thoughts on the situation.

What do we think?
To win the Premier League would be a great achievement for Jurgen Klopp and his team, but to secure their title at the home of their city rivals Everton would be the icing on the cake for the fans.
