Liverpool: Fans gush over footage of Timo Werner and Naby Keita

Liverpool fans have been drooling on Twitter over footage of Timo Werner and Naby Keita playing for RB Leipzig. 

This comes after Liverpool fan Twitter account @AnfieldRd96 shared a post on their page that included a video clip originally posted by @FootballGoals67 of the pair linking up to score a goal for the German side.

This post then gathered a lot of replies from Liverpool fans who were excited by what they saw from Werner and their current midfielder Keita.

The footage shows Keita assisting Werner for a goal he scored in Leipzig’s Europa League clash with Zenit St. Petersburg back in the 2017/18 season. In recent weeks, Werner has been linked with a move to Liverpool to link back up with his former teammate Keita. Now that this footage has made the rounds on Twitter recently, these Liverpool fans took the opportunity to share their excitement over a potential move for the German striker.

What do we think?

If the Reds do make a move for Werner, who is currently valued at £67.5 million according to Transfermarkt, the fans of the club will be hoping to see the striker link back up again with Keita at Anfield. Given how Werner has scored 25 goals in 30 appearances for Leipzig so far this season, it’s understandable why they would want to see the 23-year-old at Anfield.
