A lot of Leeds United fans have replied to a tweet by LUFCDATA about Liam Cooper after his performance in the Whites’ 1-1 draw with Brentford.
LUFCDATA shared some statistics about Cooper’s performance (via InStat Football), which suggest that he enjoyed the highest percentage of successful match actions (88%) by any outfield player.
Were you impressed by Cooper?
Yes, solid performance
No, still unconvincing
The tweet also said that Cooper “hardly put a foot wrong”, and this has gained a lot of replies from many Leeds fans – with some feeling that the 28-year-old played well.

I have a huge problem with cooper, passion 10/10, ball distribution 8/10, ball in front of him 8/10 but once ball is past him 2/10 defending corners 1/10 ….if only it was about the passion

Still a calamity in defence

Partly responsible for the Brentford goal. Should have played it down the line.

Because he had Dallas with him and didn’t spend the evening worrying about Alioski.

What do we think?
Cooper popped up with his first goal of the season as he stabbed in a loose ball from a Jack Harrison corner against Brentford. (1:14)
He was also rather solid in defence receiving a 7/10 rating from the Yorkshire Evening Post and a 7.8 rating from WhoScored.
The 28-year-old, who is valued at £5.4m by Transfermarkt, also completed nine defensive actions in a strong performance.
Cooper emerged as a real leader when Bielsa first took charge, and this was certainly a captain’s performance from the Scotland international.
