Liverpool fans have been responding on Twitter to the latest update surrounding a potential transfer for Timo Werner.
This comes after Liverpool news Twitter account @LFCTransferRoom shared a post on their page quoting Bundesliga journalist Christian Falk’s tweet claiming that the Reds have until April to activate Werner’s release clause “and land him for around £55M.”

The RB Leipzig striker has been in scintillating form this campaign. In 30 appearances for the Bundesliga side, Werner has scored 25 goals and provided 10 assists (per Transfermarkt). Despite being currently valued at £67.5 million, Falk revealed that the clause in Werner’s contract could see Jurgen Klopp’s side sign the German for £55 million. What do we think?
Given Werner’s fantastic goalscoring form so far this season and his reported price tag, it would be a smart move for Liverpool to do their best to try and sign the 23-year-old this season.
