Supporters of Everton have been reacting to a transfer link between the Toffees’ Mason Holgate and Manchester City.
According to Football Insider, Pep Guardiola’s outfit have placed the Englishman at the ‘top of their summer shopping list’ (via The Gwladys Street), which had some supporters worried.

If Manchester City bid £20 million for Mason Holgate in the summer, would you want it accepted?Yes, we could replace well with £20mNo, he's worth more than that to us |
The 23-year-old has been the Toffees’ sixth-best performer in the Premier League so far this term, with a solid 6.78/10 average rating (as per WhoScored).
Over the duration of his career at Goodison Park, Holgate has featured in 73 appearances, during which he has bagged one goal and four assists (per Transfermarkt), though, some supporters were not too fussed about the rumour.
Will stay with us due to Champions League ambitions I think

Is he really that good? Let’s be honest

I said to my City supporting colleagues a couple of years ago, you bought the wrong defender off us, you’ll be knocking on our door soon for Holgate too…. and now the rumours start, albeit from a terrible source

What do we think?
Despite having two seasons remaining on his contract following the conclusion of this term, the Englishman still only has a market value of £6.3 million (per Transfermarkt).
However, there seems to be a three-way split over this rumour, between fans desperate for him to stay, others who would not bee too fussed and those who just do not believe the rumour altogether.
