Supporters of Everton have discussed a possible swoop for Abdoulaye Doucoure following the Watford man’s transfer admission.
In an interview with the Mirror, cited by Liverpool Echo, the Frenchman admitted that he’ll ‘easily’ be allowed to leave the Hornets at the end of the season, and with Everton having had previous interest in the midfielder, some fans were delighted over the revelation (via The Gwladys Street).

How much is the maximum that you would be happy to see Everton pay to sign Abdoulaye Doucoure?Don't want him£20m-£35m£36m-£50m£51m+ |
During this term, the 27-year-old middleman has bagged four goals and one assist over the 27 games he has featured in for Watford (per Transfermarkt), earning Doucoure a 6.76/10 average rating (per WhoScored).
While some fans thought a move for the Frenchman would be a good idea, others felt that there were a few concerns around any move for the £22.5-million rated man (per Transfermarkt).
Ancelotti might not fancy him the way Silva did.

How old is he? I rate him when I watch him and I think he’s the type of player we need (progressive, will carry the ball into space if it’s there), but obviously the price we would be paying would be hefty. Hard to believe there isn’t a better value option abroad

Too old ….we need young blood not more the same age as our older players.

Anything over £30m I wouldn’t bother feel like there’s better out there

What do we think?
At the age of 27, it is hard to believe that Doucoure would be too old for the Toffees, however, some fans do have merit stating that anything over £30 million would be steep for the Frenchman who does not have an inspiring average rating (per WhoScored).
With three seasons left on his contract after this one, though, and his current market value at £22.5 million (per Transfermarkt), it may be difficult to get him for less than that.
