Supporters of Everton have been reacting to the latest transfer report on the Toffees’ link to signing Allan from Serie A side, Napoli.
According to Corriere del Mezzogiorno, as cited by Sport Witness, the Toffees made a €20-million (£16.7m) bid for the Brazilian midfielder in January, however, it was rejected, which had some fans feeling positive on the likelihood of the move (via The Gwladys Street).

I’d say this is a done deal

Though he was valued at €100 I reckon we can pull off a €40m-€60m bid

The money they talked about in january was too much, over £40m, if its more like £25m in the summer i can see it happening, we won’t make anything back on him but he could be a first team player for 3 to 4 seasons

Would you be happy to see the Toffees pay £45 million for Allan's services?Yes, would be a great moveNo, could be better spent |
This season, Allan has featured in 21 games in all competitions for Napoli, during which he has bagged one goal and one assist (per Transfermarkt), earning the 29-year-old a 6.82/10 average rating (per WhoScored).
With Allan also valued at £45 million (per Transfermarkt), other supporters felt that there was no chance that there would be a likelihood of the Brazilian arriving at Goodison Park due to a number of reasons.

Not for me either Andy. Too old, too expensive and not mobile enough. Would rather get quality centre back and blood Holgate in that roll of CMD. Just a thought. Always looking forward.

What do we think?
As stated in the report, Everton bid €20 million (£16.7m) to attempt to get Allan’s services, however, due to his valuation being £45 million and having three years and four months left on his contract (per Transfermarkt), that seems an incredibly low offer.
It is without a doubt, the Brazilian’s 6.82/10 average rating shows that he has talent (per WhoScored), however, perhaps not good enough to warrant paying anywhere near the £45-million mark.
