This week, Belgian newspaper Het Belang van Limburg (via Evening Standard) reported that Crystal Palace target Joakim Maehle has spoken out on his desire to move on from Genk should be given the opportunity (via CPFC News HQ).
In 30 appearances this season, the player has one goal and four assists from right-back. In all but two of his appearances for Genk this season, Maehle has played at right-back. However, the player has occasionally played in a right-midfield role, including against Liverpool in the Champions League.
Despite the defender’s experience, after reading some of the replies to CPFC News HQ’s tweet, it is evident that the fans have no faith that their team will pull off the signing. One supporter doesn’t think the player would want to move to Palace, as they assume the club will fail to stay up in the Premier League.

What do we think?
The supporters clearly have zero faith in their ownership’s recruitment capabilities. Hopefully, for fans, the owners prove them wrong by bringing in some decent talent in the summer.
