These West Brom fans were thrilled with the latest Matheus Pereira update from Express and Star.
According to a report by Express and Star: “Matheus Pereira is likely to become a permanent Albion player next month, the Express & Star can reveal.” This was later relayed to these West Brom fans via Joseph Masi on Twitter.
The report also states that “Lisbon insisted on a clause where Albion have to buy the player once he has made 30 Championship appearances of 45 minutes or more.” With Pereira currently on 25 Championship appearances for the Baggies this season, it would seem likely that the deal would become permanent in the next five league fixtures.
Here’s what the West Brom fans had to say about the Pereira update on Twitter:
Matheus Pereira is set to become a permanent Albion player next month. Deal to be completed once he has played 30 Championship games. He is currently on 25. https://t.co/o2LHoG82KK #wba

Is Matheus Pereira the best player at West Brom?
Yes, he's amazing!
No, he's overrated!
Pereira has been flying in the Championship this season, in the 25 league matches the 23-year-old has played in, the Brazilian has scored five goals and assisted his teammates 10 times.
These fans are thrilled with the update; obviously, nothing is permanent yet, but with Pereira being just five league matches away, that would seem very likely.
Lovely knock down

What Do We Think?
With Pereira averaging a WhoScored rating of 7.34/10, this would be a huge boost to keep the Brazilian permanently.
We feel this would be a great bit of business, with Pereira offering goals, scoring five already this season, but not just that, the Brazilian has also assisted his teammates 10 times. This deal is pretty much done, with Pereira only needing to play five more Championship matches, which would only really be prevented due to an injury.
