These West Brom fans discuss the latest transfer rumours, as the Baggies are now being linked with Martin Olsson who is currently without a club.

Olsson started his career at Hogaborg U19s before getting a £45k move to Blackburn’s academy setup in January 2006. The Swede was later sold by Blackburn’s first team to Norwich for £2.61m in July 2013.

However, in January 2017 Norwich cashed in on Olsson, selling the left-back for £4.14m to Swansea, a club that would later release the 31-year-old in July 2019, with Olsson still without a club to this day.

The transfer rumour originally came from SportExpressen in Sweden: “But according to SportExpressen’s information, it is West Bromwich Albion in The Championship that looks to be Olsson’s new address.” This was later relayed to Baggies fans via James Anderson on Twitter.

Here’s what the West Brom fans had to say about the transfer rumour on Twitter:

Would you like Martin Olsson to join West Brom?

Yes

Yes

No

No

Despite Olsson being 31-years-old and without a club to call home, these West Brom fans seem very keen to bring the Swedish defender to the Hawthorns.

What Do We Think?

Considering Olsson “left the national team’s January tour in Doha last Saturday”, it would seem very likely that the Swedish left-back is on his way to a club this January. Whether that’s West Brom or not is still yet to be seen, however, these Baggies fans are certainly hoping he joins their club.
