This week, Sunderland signed Kyle Lafferty. The Northern Irish striker could provide Phil Parkinson’s side with a few extra goals in the second half of the season. If he can, it could be the difference between Sunderland playing Championship football or not next season.
In the player’s first interview, he spoke enthusiastically about joining the side. Fans were impressed with what he had to say and are confident he could become a game-changer.

Do you think Kyle Lafferty will be a good signing for Sunderland?
Yes
No
Others aren’t worried at all. They can’t imagine Lafferty being any worse than their current striker, Will Grigg. Grigg has scored just once in 19 EFL League One appearances so far this season. Lafferty has scored 106 goals in 444 career appearances. If he continues with that ratio he will be much more effective than Grigg has been.

What do we think?
At the end of the day, Sunderland fans will just be happy to see a fresh face at the club. The side have won their first two games in a row since Parkinson took over and are starting to build some momentum. If Lafferty can push them even further, they could be playing Championship football once again next year.
