Some Sheffield Wednesday fans have been left delighted by the club’s latest FA Cup draw against Premier League champions Manchester City.
Wednesday, who beat QPR 2-1 in the previous round of the competition, were pitted against Man City in the fifth round.
Can Wednesday beat Man City?
We surely can
No chance we're winning it
The Owls’ Twitter handle posted the news of the draw on social media. And as soon as fans learned that Wednesday will take on Pep Guardiola’s side, they were delighted with the news.
Please don’t say we have already lost… look at Shrewsbury vs Liverpool….

Glad it’s at home. Give it a go, hopefully fans make plenty of noise. Better than a routine hammering away at the Etihad

Price it to fill it! Nothing finer than a midweek game under the lights at Hillsborough. Let’s get the Old Lady rocking again! #swfc

A worth a try but let’s just think how to get to premier league instead

Would have preferred a much easier game, plenty of time to face the likes of Man City later

Their fans seem to think they have beaten us already and Liverpool fans saying city only get easy teams. That should be a team talk right there

So far this season, Garry Monk’s men have already beaten Brighton and QPR in the competition. They beat the Seagulls 1-0, beating the London-based QPR side by a 2-1 scoreline too.
As things stand, the club is tenth in the Championship table and have 42 points in the bag. They are currently only four points behind sixth-placed Preston and only seven points behind third-placed Fulham.
Monk’s men have won only one of their last five Championship games and that win came against promotion hopefuls Leeds United.
What do we think?
A draw against the Champions will be huge for Wednesday. The club has already beaten a Premier League side and they can take some confidence from that, even if their Championship form has been average. But it will be a big occasion for them.
