This week Rangers announced that Jamie Barjonas would be joining Partick Thistle until the end of the season. The move to the Championship side could be a perfect opportunity for the player who turns 21 this Friday. The midfielder has been spending a majority of his time playing with Rangers FC Reserves this season but has made sporadic appearances for the first-team throughout his career (transfermarkt.co.uk).
When the club shared the news on Twitter, the fans were hopeful that this wouldn’t signify the end of Barjonas’ time with the club. There were many supporters who still think he has a serious future at the side. They admit that a move to the Scottish Championship could be the perfect move for his development.

Do you think Jamie Barjonas has a future at Rangers?
Yes
No
Others admit that his young age gives them hope. They think he will come back even better next season, ready to knock on Steven Gerrard’s door for a starting spot.
A lot of people forget Jamie is still only 20. Has a contract until 2021. This is a good move for him. https://t.co/noragtOe6B

What do we think?
If Barjonas is successful during his time with Partick Thistle, it could prove to Gerrard that he is worth keeping around the first-team. Regular senior football should provide the midfielder with a tremendous opportunity to finesse his skill before his return.
