With the January transfer window open, Rangers fans will be hopeful that their team can bring in a few squad members to help push them across the finish line in the league. But that also means that a few players are exit bound. One of those players is Albanian right-winger Eros Grezda. This week Andy Devlin, writer for the Scottish Sun, tweeted that the winger was set to return to his old club, NK Osijek.
The player joined Rangers from NK Osijek for around £1.8 million back in August 2018. But this season he has only played 258 minutes of football under Steven Gerrard (transfermarkt.co.uk). While no transfer fee had been confirmed yet, Rangers will likely lose money on this deal. When they purchased the player his value was £1.35million, however, it has since dropped to £1.22million (transfermarkt.co.uk). Some Rangers fans still think he will come good in his career, with some thinking Scottish football just wasn’t for him.
Good luck to him. Just didn’t have the right mentality to play in Scottish football.

Do you still think Eros Grezda still has a bright future?
Yes
No
Others hope that the club managed to cancel some of the original fees paid for the player. One fan thinks NK Osijek have done quite well out of the deal.
Did we keep the receipt and hand him back to Osijek customer service? Faulty product.

One down! Very poor signing for Rangers, hopefully his return to Osijek cancels any future payments.

Theyve done alright out of that one

What do we think?
The Gers aren’t too concerned about seeing the player move on. Their only gripe is that the player is moving on after failing to live up to his expectations. At least the fans can still cheer for Borna Barisic, who Rangers also bought from NK Osijek (transfermarkt.co.uk).
