After being out with an illness earlier in the month, Rangers announced that James Tavernier was making impressive progress in his return to first-team football.
Gary McAllister confirmed that the club captain is just a few weeks away from being match ready. McAllister announced that the player was already back training on the grass with the team.
If fans didn’t believe Steven Gerrard’s assistant, the club posted images of Tavernier out training. Fans were relieved to see the right-back out with the team. They insist that he must make a speedy recovery quickly. They admit that the team is not good enough without him.

Is James Tavernier vital to Rangers?
Yes
No
Others hope that fans will now see how valuable Tavernier is to the team after seeing them perform without him. In 19 league appearances, the captain has three goals and seven assists from right-back.
I hope everyone who was giving him stick now realise after not having him for the last few games how good and needed he is at the club. We are rotten without him. pic.twitter.com/TvYTEziQTX

Don’t think anyone will ever doubt what he brings to the team again

What do we think?
Of course, while fans are eager to see the player return to games as soon as possible, they won’t want to rush him back. They will want to ensure that he is fully fit before he is integrated back into the side’s lineup.
