Rangers fans were treated to some exciting news this transfer deadline day as the club announced the loan signing of Ianis Hagi from Genk. While the loan is only until the end of the season, the signing could be a huge boost to Steven Gerrard’s bid for a trophy both domestically and in Europe.
The attacking midfielder has played in 19 competitive games this season, scoring three goals and assisting four times. But one aspect of Hagi’s arrival that truly excites fans is the potential partnership between Hagi and Alfredo Morelos. This became clear after the club posted a picture of the pair on the Romanian’s first day of training. The supporters could hardly contain their excitement.

Is Hagi going to link up well with Morelos?

One fan, however, still wants to see more. Are there a few more twists and turns to come in this window?

What do we think?
At 21 years of age, Hagi has a lot to do before he reaches the success of his father, Gheorghe Hagi, who played for both Barcelona and Real Madrid. But, Rangers fans are excited about his arrival, never the less. If he and Morelos light up the second half of the season, the rest of the Scottish Premiership will have to watch out.
