Aston Villa fans have been reacting on Twitter to the latest transfer announcement on reported target Krzysztof Piatek.
This comes after Villa fan Twitter account @AVFCTransTweet shared a post on their page replying to a tweet posted by @HerthaBSC announcing Piatek as their latest signing.

Gutted….. when the story broke from reliable sources in early January that we were in for him thought he would be a massive signing

The Polish striker had been linked with a move to Villa in recent weeks after boasting a goal record of 85 in 215 club appearances (per Transfermarkt). Now that it has been revealed that Piatek has moved to the Bundesliga, numerous Villa fans have been having their say on missing out on their reported January target.
Moves will pick up pace now ?

What do we think?
Given that Villa striker Wesley is out with injury until the end of the season, it’s understandable why some Villa fans would be disappointed with missing out on Piatek. Their hope now would be that January signing Mbwana Samatta can fill in for the injured Brazilian instead.
