Some Celtic fans have been left confused and dazed by the club’s announcement of their new signing Patryk Klimala in the ongoing January transfer window.
The Polish striker had arrived in Glasgow to complete his medical in the late hours of Sunday. The move has now been announced by the club, as the 21-year-old forward joins for a reported fee of £3.4million and has signed a four-year deal with the Parkhead-based side.
The club announcement of the player was rather strange. Along with announcing Klimala’s signing, they also announced the opening of their TikTok handle.
Celtic fans: Did you hate the Klimala announcement?
What a joke that was
Not a bad, new way
And some Hoops fans have been left baffled and they don’t really want to see it again. They made it clear on Twitter.

Klimala is a Poland Under-21s international and has made seven appearances for the team till now, having scored twice and assisting once. He was not part of the Polish side that took part in the Under-21s European Championship this past summer.
For his club Jagiellonia Bialystok, Klimala has been a regular striker in all competitions. He has made 18 appearances for the club, scoring seven goals and racking up three assists for the side. All of the contributions have come in the Polish league.
Last season wasn’t as productive for the Pole, as Klimala could make score only four times in all competitions and got one assist. He made 29 appearances in all competitions.
What do we think?
The club just wanted to use a different way to announce the signing. They were probably testing the waters for but the fans clearly didn’t like it. Perhaps next time they will think twice about the announcement as this one clearly didn’t go down well.
