Some Celtic fans have made it clear that they are in desperate wait for the club to complete the signature of Slovan Bratislava striker Andraz Sporar in the ongoing January transfer window.
The Hoops have been heavily linked with a move for Sporar in the winter, but reports are stating that the club is close to signing a potential replacement for the striker. Slovan are reportedly close to signing Allen Ozbolt this month and that move is now moving closer.
Celtic fans: Are you excited about Sporar?
He isn't that special

After CelticLisboa shared the news on Twitter with their followers, fans have paid heed to this piece of news and they are overjoyed that their target appears to be inching closer to a move to Parkhead.

we only sign players on the last day of the transfer window, the ones that are left that nobody else wants, the bargain basement.

Thought perhaps the signing of flop Bayo would be a decent permitter that we shouldn’t base a player on slovakian league standards.

So far this season, Odsonne Edouard has been the Hoops’ regular striker. He has racked up an impressive tally of 16 goals and also has a tally of 15 assists while having played 31 games in all competitions only.
As for Sporar, he has been impressing for Slovan this season. The club took part in the Europa League- like Celtic, with Sporar grabbing five goals and two assists in the competition. But in all competitions, the striker has grabbed a tally of 20 goals and five assists while playing 26 games for the club.
Sporar was in good form for the club last season too. He played 36 times in all competitions, scoring 34 times and racking up nine assists. In the Europa League qualifying stages, he got five goals and a couple of assists.
What do we think?
It does seem as though Celtic fans have every reason to be happy about the news involving Slovan seeking a replacement for Sporar. But it is now down to how much Celtic have to pay for the striker. They do need a striker, as they haven’t exactly been a free-flowing side in some games in recent times. Their last win by a three-goal margin came early in December. Goal difference can prove crucial this season and having an extra striker can give Celtic an advantage.
