Some Celtic fans can’t stop hailing a video about Olivier Ntcham scoring the winner for the club in their 2-1 win over Lazio at the Stadio Olimpico in the UEFA Europa League.

The Hoops had beaten the Biancocelesti twice already this season and they beat them 2-1 in Glasgow, apart from doing the same to the Italian giants in the away leg at the Stadio Olimpico. The two losses made it tough for Lazio to progress into the next round of the competition and they eventually got knocked out, while the Bhoys and Cluj progressed into the next round of the competition.

Celtic fans: Was the Lazio win the best moment of the season?

It sure was!

The Europa League Twitter handle asked fans a question about their best moment of the season. A Hoops-related Twitter page called CelticBible quoted it using the video of Ntcham’s winner in Rome. This left many Hoops fans delighted.

The Hoops had won their first five games of the Europa League group stages. But they didn’t go unbeaten into the next round, as Cluj beat them in the second game of the competition. They did finish at the top of the group though- the first time that they have done that in history.

As for the Premiership, the Hoops are at the top. A recent loss to Rangers in the Old Firm derby saw the lead get cut down to two points. The Gers have a game in hand and winning that will see them go over the Bhoys in the table.

The club has already won the League Cup by beating Steven Gerrard’s men in the final of the competition. A Christopher Jullien goal was enough to win the 19th League Cup title in the Hoops’ history. They recently beat Partick Thistle to reach the fifth round of the Scottish Cup and will face Clyde in the next round.

What do we think?

It was certainly a huge moment in the season for the club. It is made even better by the fact that Simone Inzaghi’s men are currently the most in-form team in Serie A, having been unbeaten in as many as 14 games. Beating a team like that at home is special, considering they have already beaten Juventus twice so far.
