Some Celtic fans have made it clear that they have fears over how the club will do business in the ongoing January transfer window and aren’t sure if they will sign anyone or not.
The Hoops have drawn links with many players already for this month, with Brighton striker Glenn Murray and Sheffield United star Billy Sharp reportedly on the club’s shortlist for January.
Slovan Bratislava striker Andraz Sporar has also been linked with a move, with Cruzeiro defender Fabricio Bruno also a potential target.
Celtic fans: Do you have concerns about the transfer policy?
Yes, Lawell is clueless!
We'll get it right
Despite that, some Hoops fans are making it clear that the club’s approach is unplanned and they need to go about things in a better manner.
In defence of @CelticFC, its not like they’ve had months and months to sort out transfers to complete when the window opened…

This has to be the window we make a statement, 2/3 solid signings that will be first team players that will push us on to win the league and qualify for at the very least the next round of Europa

Agreed, It just creeps up out of nowhere before you know it Jim white has his yellow tie on with the count down, moving and shaking nowhere to be seen

Every transfer window is a tortured, drawn out melodrama….& then the usual anti climax….every time!

Screw up in this window and the 10 is over. Since August, we’ve been one Eddy injury away from a catastrophe. Broony injury doesn’t bear thinking about either.

Quality needed, not youth projects. In the first 2 weeks after the break we’re away to St Johnstone, Hamilton, Motherwell and Killie and desp need cover and support for the likes of Eddie. Same every season though, i await with anticipated disappointment

Same old same old, it will be last minute loan deal, who will get injured training and be out until April.

The Hoops have also drawn links with Sheffield Wednesday striker Jordan Rhodes for the January window, with the Englishman having played only 13 times in all competitions for the club this season. Rhodes has found the back of the net just three times so far.
This past summer, Celtic were pretty active in the market. They spent a total of £11.83million in incomings, roping in defender Christopher Jullien. They also signed Israeli defender Hatem Abd Elhamed from Be’er Sheva, while Boli Bolingoli also joined from Rapid Vienna.
When it comes to outgoings, they let go of youth product Kieran Tierney, who was sold to Premier League giants Arsenal in the summer. He left for a fee of £25million, while the likes of Marvin Compper, Mikael Lustig, Dedryck Boyata, Cristian Gamboa and Scott Allan left on free transfers.
What do we think?
The number of players that the Hoops have been linked with shows that there is a plan for the month and they know what they’re doing. Hoops fans need to calm down and wait for things to unfold, even though it could be a crucial window that could define the season.
