This week Birmingham City announced that Fran Villalba was set to return to Spain on loan until the end of the season. He will join Almeria until the summer, with the club having an option to buy at the end of the loan.
Many fans were glad to see him leave the club. They don’t think he was ever going to cut it as a Birmingham City player. One fan thinks his priorities were all over the place, while another jokes that any player with ‘Villa’ in their name was never going to work out at St. Andrew’s.
Good riddance to him, more interested in his instagram profile than he is in playing football. Not my kinda player!

Was never going to work out here for him with a name like that

He looked promising start of the season but he was too much like Crowley for me. Bela has come in and took his place anyway now , i doubt he would have been a regular starter rest of season.

Would you liked to have seen Villalba given more of a chance at Birmingham City?
Yes
No
Others were insistent that Villalba’s departure meant new signings were coming. They demand that the club replace him instantly. There isn’t much time left to do so.
If we don’t sign anyone now it’d be absolutely criminal of the board. All eyes on you now lads.

What do we think?
In 17 appearances for the Blues, the 21-year-old scored just one goal and registered zero assists. These numbers aren’t good enough for a central-attacking-midfielder. There is no mystery why these fans are happy to see him offloaded.
