It was another disappointing loss for Birmingham City this week as they lost to Wigan 3-2. The result was Pep Clotet’s fifth loss in six games (WhoScored.com). Fans were likely hoping for the poor string of results to end as they headed into 2020.
After the match, Clotet spoke to the media about the result.
“In a bad moment is when a Club needs to be strong and find unity,” said Clotet (Birmingham City).
But fans don’t have faith in the manager. They think he is completely out of his depth and believe it is time for him to move on. Many claim that not just the fans, but the players, have lost faith in the manager’s vision for the club. They call for him to change his approach.
He’s lost the fans. This will only get worse! Cut your losses and get a proper manager/head coach in.

We don’t have faith in @pepclotet he is a man so desperate for a paycheck, that he refuses to walk away from a job that he knows he not even close to being qualified for. Utterly Selfish. Other teams will remember this, when he eventually gets fired.

For god sake. Just leave already. Your useless and it’s the same old excuses. When are the club going to listen to the fans. He is Zola 2.0 and simply not good enough.

Do your players have total belief in you though ?

It’s a shame the fans or the players don’t have total belief in him

I think Pep the problem is the players doubt your ability to help them get results. And they are not alone. #TimeForPlanB

Do you think Pep Clotet should resign from his position?
Yes
No
One fan even suggested that Clotet has been approached by fans in the street who are trying to share alternative tactics with him.
He was in New Street today with two dogs people were buying him coffee and giving him scraps of paper with tactics on them

What do we think?
It is clear that something isn’t quite right at Birmingham City. The team need a positive result, and quickly. The current results suggest that, despite being six points clear of the relegation zone, the team are at risk of fighting a relegation battle in the second half of the season (Sky Sports).
