After Birmingham City beat Blackburn in the FA Cup, the Blues patiently waited to hear who they would be playing in the next round of the competition. But after Coventry beat Bristol Rovers Birmingham City fans found out their fate. Pep Clotet’s side is set to play Coventry in the next round of the competition. This might seem like a normal matchup for neutral supporters, but fans of the two teams will know that both teams play out of St. Andrews stadium.
Coventry is currently utilising Birmingham City’s stadium while they vacate their home ground, Ricoh Arena. It appears as if the side won’t be moving back to their home ground anytime soon either. And with Coventry set to host the FA Cup fixture, it could mean that Birmingham fans will be the away support in their own stadium. One fan admits that he is pleased there won’t be a long trip home at the end of the match, while others hope that they are at least given access to the Gil Merrick stand.

Will we play in our Away kit at st Andrews in the FA Cup again like we did against Huddersfield in 1972?

Do you think Birmingham City will beat Coventry?
Yes
No
One fan joked that if Coventry doesn’t let Birmingham City win, the League One side could face eviction.
Can we just say let us win otherwise we will kick you out our stadium

What do we think?
This is certainly an odd scenario for both sets of fans. Birmingham City will surely hope they can come to some sort of agreement with Coventry to allow their fans additional seats given the circumstance.
