Aston Villa fans have been reacting on Twitter over the latest transfer news surrounding Andre Green.
This comes after the official Villa Twitter account shared a post on their page announcing Green has ended his loan spell at Preston North End and will now spend the rest of the season on loan at Charlton Athletic.
Would you have taken Green back into the Villa squad?
Yes
No
This post then gathered a number of replies from Villa fans who were quick to share their thoughts on the news.
Here’s a sample of Villa fans reacting to the news of Green’s new loan deal:
A really fantastic player that deserves more game time and stability. Best of luck with this move, Andre. Will have one eye on the Charlton results every weekend now. UTV

I’d take Green in the squad over Jota any day!

Is he really no good to our current Villa squad?

The left-winger joined Preston at the beginning of the season on a season-long loan deal. But having only made six appearances for the club since the start of the season, his time at Deepdale was cut short. Now that Green will spend the rest of the season at fellow Championship side Charlton, it has some Villa fans talking on Twitter.
The fact there’s no room for him at VP despite the injuries and form kinda tells you all you need to know. Also tells us there must be incoming transfers lined up.

think he maybe needs to recreate himself either as an out and out winger or playing up top

What do we think?
It’s a shame that Green’s time at Preston did not work out as well as hoped. If Green can end this season on a high and get some consistent playing minutes under his belt at Charlton, then it could well get his career back on track.
