A lot of Newcastle United fans are furious to hear that Jack Colback has suffered an injury that will rule him out for four months.
This is not because Colback is an important player because he really isn’t.
Are you bothered about this injury to Colback?
Yes, can't get him off the wage bill
No, he will leave the club sooner or later
They are annoyed that they now cannot get the Geordie midfielder off the wage bill during the January transfer window.
NUFC medical bulletin… Shelvey, Schar & Manquillo all hamstring. Willems thigh injury. Yedlin broken his hand. Oh, and Jack Colback has suffered a knee injury in training & will miss four months.

Other Toon supporters were furious at the number of muscle injuries they have experienced.
If you get 3 hamstring injuries in one game it is solely down to mismanagement of fitness

The sheer number of soft tissue injuries would imply that the training and treatment methods are a problem.

Can we question the training methods yet? Or just more rotten luck ?

One fan even stated that he’s getting the last laugh.
He’s getting the last laugh, running down his contract while being paid full wage, instead of leaving for new club.

What do we think?
Colback earns £35,000 per week at Newcastle, and the club were reportedly hoping to shift him off the wage bill in this window to make space for any potential incomings.
However, this latest injury now rules that out. Colback is a hated figure on Tyneside since he was exiled from the first-team squad by Rafael Benitez.
Colback has refused to go out on loan on a few occasions and seems to be just happy to sit around and collect his wages – which has infuriated many on Tyneside.
The former Sunderland man is not even registered in the Premier League squad this season, but this injury will mean he will be with Newcastle till at least the end of the year.
