Rangers’ pursuit for Livingston’s Lyndon Dykes has taken a late setback, according to Jordan Campbell.
According to Jordan Campbell on Twitter, Livingston has had ‘no contact’ from Rangers about any possible move for their centre-forward Lyndon Dykes and that the 24-year-old is seen as an integral part of the squad.
Lyndon Dykes mentioned as a possible option for Rangers but I’m told by a source close to Livingston that there has been no contact from Rangers and that the striker is viewed as an integral part of the squad.

Rangers have been tipped to swoop for the player should a move for Flo Kamberi fall through.
The 24-year-old is rated by Transfermarkt at £225k, but if Livingston have had no contact from Steven Gerrard’s side this late into the window, then any move would seem very unlikely.
Who is Lyndon Dykes?
Currently playing for Livingston in the Scottish Premiership, Dykes has played 18 matches scoring eight goals and assisting six times, good stats for a relatively young centre-forward in Scotland’s top division (Transfermarkt).
Dykes joined Livi after leaving Queen of the South in January 2019 for a fee unknown to Tranfermarkt but was loaned back to the Scottish Championship side before returning in May 2019 (Transfermarkt).
Born in Gold Coast, Australia, the 24-year-old’s move to QOS was very successful, playing 136 matches for the club, scoring 23 goals and amazingly adding 34 assists to his tally (Transfermarkt).
Verdict
Dykes clearly thrived in the Scottish Championship and is seemingly doing well in the Premiership with Livingston, so if Rangers were looking for a backup centre-forward the 24-year-old could have been the perfect man to fill that gap.
However, with no contact being made and with there being limited time left in the January transfer window, any potential deal for the centre-forward now seems pretty impossible. The fans will likely be upset to have missed out on a decent centre-forward option, but hopefully, Gerrard has a couple more targets to aim for.
