Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers have been handed a blow in their attempt to keep Ryan Bennett at the club this January.
The Athletic reporter Tim Spiers has recently reported that Wolves now seem set to lose Bennett to the Foxes on deadline day.

John Percy from the Telegraph also confirmed the news, saying that this will ensure that Filip Benkovic will go out on loan before the January transfer window slams shut on Friday.
A bit-part player
So far this season, the 29-year-old Bennett has made 11 Premier League appearances for Wolves under Nuno Santo. In all competitions, he has made 19 appearances for the side, scoring once and that goal came in the club’s Europa League qualifying game against Crusaders.
Last season, the defender was more of a regular at the back than he is this season. He made 40 appearances in all competitions for the club, scoring once and that goal came against Leicester themselves in a 4-3 win over the Midlands-based side.
Wolves had signed Bennett from Norwich City in the summer of 2017 and that move had come after his release by the Canaries.
TIF Tactics
Bennett is 29 and selling him at this point could benefit Wolves, as the defender’s contract at the club runs out in the summer of 2021. His value could reduce from next season onwards and letting him go at this point might make sense for Wolves.
Although, it could leave them slightly exposed at the back should a couple of players suffer injuries, with Leander Dendoncker, Willy Boly, Max Kilman, Conor Coady and Romain Saiss the only options.
