West Ham United fans have been reacting to the latest transfer claim surrounding former Hammer Marko Arnautovic.
This comes after West Ham Twitter account @westham_gossip shared a post on their page relaying news originally published by The Mirror via the Daily Star that Arnautovic was supposed to make a move back to the East-London club, but the Coronavirus stopped the striker from leaving China, where he currently plays.
Would you take Marko Arnautovic back at West Ham?
Yes
No
This post then gathered several replies from Hammers fans who were eager to have their say on the reported situation.
Here’s a sample of West Ham fans reacting to this latest transfer update:
We don’t need his poisonous attitude back at the club.

Not that I want him back let all….but surely if the club were serious they could find sufficiently qualified medics in China to undertake a medical and agree the deal by email???

Doubt it will happen.

The striker left West Ham in the previous summer transfer window to make a move to Chinese side Shanghai SIPG for a fee of £22.5 million (per Transfermarkt). Now that news has emerged that Arnautovic was close to making a move to return to the club he left in the summer, many Hammers fans made their feelings on the striker known on Twitter.
That’s the only positive about the virus!

What do we think?
If this rumour is true, it would certainly be an uncommon reason for a transfer not to happen. But based off these replies from the West Ham fans, it seems as though that they would not be happy to see Arnautovic make a return to the London Stadium anyway.
