Supporters of West Ham United have fumed over an admission from Sam Allardyce on the transfer dealings of David Sullivan.

During an interview with talkSPORT, the former England gaffer admitted that Sullivan would sometimes give “the odd present” with a player that Sullivan liked turning up to training for the club (via West Ham News), which had fans furious.

Do West Ham United need different ownership if they are to progress in the Premier League?

The 65-year-old manager spent four years with the Hammers between 2011 and 2015, during which time he oversaw 181 games with a points per game tally of 1.39 (as per Transfermarkt).

With protests having taken place in recent weeks over the running of the London club (per Daily Mail), fans continued to fume over what Allardyce had to say on his time with the Hammers.

If what Allardyce is admitting in the interview with talkSPORT is true, then that really is not the way to be running a football club.
