Spurs fans were delighted to hear this week that QPR midfielder Eberechi Eze remains a target for the club with January now upon us.
According to the Athletic, the North London club remain keen on the 21-year-old but are currently unwilling to meet his £20 million valuation. Eze has been in fantastic form for QPR so far this season; averaging a 7.44 rating for his performances in the Championship, so it is no surprise that Premier League clubs are beginning to take notice.
Eze’s performances earnt him a debut for the England u’21 side in November, with the youngster instrumental for Mark Warburton’s side so far this season; having contributed to 34% of their goals. Although transfermarkt value him at just £4.5 million, it seems as if Spurs will have to spend closer to £20 million if they are to secure his services in January.
Would Eze be a good signing for Spurs?

£20m for a young English talent is nothing these days, get it done Levy!

If we’re that interested just pay it, if he develops he’ll be worth it. We need to get some new blood in. We’re not going to get a big name to join us and sit on the bench.

Pray we get him, gonna be a superstar

Absolute Bargain
— Manny (@Mannythfc) December 31, 2019
These Spurs fans clearly feel that £20 million is a bargain for Eze and that the club should do their best to sign him this month.
What do we think?
Eze has been fantastic for QPR so far this season and if Spurs don’t sign him, you imagine that another Premier League club will. The emergence of James Maddison and Jack Grealish from the Championship has shown that young English players from the second division can go on to become stars in the top-flight, so this could well be a great signing for Jose Mourinho’s side.
