Everton fans are hopeful that the Toffees are one of six clubs that have made a transfer offer for Lille’s 20-year-old midfielder, Boubakary Soumare.
According to L’Equipe, as cited by Get French Football News, six transfer bids have been lodged for the young star and Everton fans are hoping to see him sign on the dotted line at Goodison Park.
Interestingly, Everton were linked with a move for the midfielder late last year (RMC Sport, via 4th Official).

Would be far more of a statement signing than a Zlatan/James move.
Gbamin + Soumaré in front of Mina/Holgate gives a lot of attacking freedom to rest of team.

Linked with him in the summer from good sources so I’d imagine we are one of them

Would Boubakary Soumare make a good signing for the Toffees?Yes, he's fantasticNo, not good enough |
So far this term, the 20-year-old middleman has featured in 23 matches for his French club across the Champions League and Ligue 1 (as per Transfermarkt).
Despite having an average rating for the season so far of 6.61/10 (via Whoscored), supporters were still desperate to see the Frenchman arrive in Merseyside.
This would be ideal! A future midfield with options like Gbamin, Soumare, Davies, Gordon, Iwobi

Love to see us have a go and try and get this lad in .. he’s a big unit but can get across the ground quickly … ideal centre mid but can’t see us getting him but hey we said same about Ancelotti

Be absolutely perfect this mate. Interest in the summer with wolves. One is guessing this would be tough now though. Big fish will be swooping

What do we think?
While it is unclear how many legs this transfer desire would have in reality it is clear that the youngster has talent and would be instantly adored by the Goodison Park faithful.
If he is not doing so already, this would definitely be one to consider for Carlo Ancelotti and co.
