Spurs fans were delighted to see a video from former Tottenham and current Rangers forward Jermaine Defoe on Twitter this week.
The 37-year-old striker was interviewed by BT Sport (via Hotspur Related) and discussed his time at Spurs as well as some of his favourite kits from his playing career. The striker scored 143 goals for Spurs in 361 appearances for the North London club across two different spells.
Defoe is still going strong at 37, having made 20 appearances for Steven Gerrard’s side so far this season; scoring an impressive 12 goals. In the interview with BT Sport, the former England striker confirms that Spurs were some of his favourite kits to play in, which has led to many fans praising the veteran forward.

These Spurs fans clearly loved the video of Defoe, with some suggesting that the club should try to re-sign the striker in this month’s transfer window.
What do we think?
Defoe might be 37-years-old but he has clearly not lost his knack for scoring goals and could be a decent short-term replacement for Harry Kane; who has been ruled out until April with a hamstring injury. The Rangers man is valued at £1.58 million by transfermarkt, so perhaps it wouldn’t be the worst idea to bring him back to North London.
