Aston Villa fans have been pleading on Twitter for the club to not sign Eddie Nketiah in this transfer window.
This comes after Villa news Twitter account @AVFC_News shared a post on their page revealing that they should know this week if “Villa have managed to land” the striker.
Interestingly, according to The Sun, Aston Villa are one of the clubs who have their eyes on the striker, with the Arsenal man set to make a decision soon.
Would Eddie Nketiah be a good replacement for Wesley?
Yes
No
This post then led to a handful of Villa fans replying with their thoughts on the potential transfer.
Here’s a sample of Villa fans not wanting Nketiah to sign this month:

So a player who has been recalled for lack of game time with Leeds in the Championship is supposed to be the answer? Our ambition is shocking and this is not the signing we need!!

Deserve to go down if that’s what we are after

The 20-year-old spent the first half of the season on loan at Championship side Leeds from Arsenal. But the North-London club have since brought Nketiah back to the Emirates this month (per TransferMarkt).
With the latest news linking the striker with a move to Villa Park this month, some Villa fans don’t think Nketiah is the answer they need right now.
Not the signing you need in a relegation battle ??

What do we think?
Given that Nketiah only scored five goals in his 19 appearances for Leeds, it’s fair to see why some Villa fans are a bit underwhelmed that their club are gunning for the young Gooner to solve their striking issues. With first-choice striker Wesley out for the rest of the season with a knee injury, Villa are clearly in the market for a new striker, but according to the fans, Nketiah should not be a target.
