Spurs fans were less than impressed with Eric Dier’s recent comments on Christian Eriksen, with many fans suggesting that the Englishman should follow him out of the club this month.
In a post-match interview following the 2-1 win over Norwich City on Wednesday night, the 26-year-old was asked about his Danish team-mate and the suggestion that he had been booed by a section of Spurs fans. The forming Sporting Lisbon man argued that Eriksen does not deserve any abuse from fans, saying: “He does not deserve that from anyone. He has always been one of the most professional players I have known and one of the best players at Tottenham on the most consistent basis.” per Standard Sport (via Daily Hotspur).
The match against Norwich could yet prove to be Eriksen’s last for the North London club; with the 27-year-old having reportedly agreed a deal with Inter, but a fee is yet to be agreed between the two clubs. After his comments defending his team-mate, a selection of Spurs fans have criticised Dier and suggested that he should also leave the club during this month’s transfer window.

Follow him on the way out

And that is the problem with this team, a team mate who knows a player has not been giving 100% but he isn’t willing to call him out on it. That is a team that will never win anything

He can join Eriksen 🙂

Totally agree… stop booing Eriksen and direct them at Dier!!! How is he still getting game time!?

I’m one of the fans who back Eric Dier and believe he is a great squad player. Just read this. Someone show him where the door is

These Spurs fans clearly disagree with Dier’s Eriksen comments and have suggested that follows the creative midfielder out of the door this month.
What do we think?
It is not a surprise to see Dier standing up for his team-mate and although he has not been in great form so far this season, the suggestion that he should leave just for asking fans not to boo their own player seems over the top.
