Spurs fans were less than impressed with Ryan Sessegnon’s performance during their 2-1 win over Norwich City on Wednesday night.
The 19-year-old, who was playing as a left-back, struggled throughout the game against Daniel Farke’s side; earning a disappointing 6.29 rating from whoscored. The youngster gave away the penalty which gave Teemu Pukki the chance to equalise in the second half, after a rash foul on reported Spurs target Max Aarons.
Spurs signed Sessegnon from Fulham in the summer for around £25 million, despite him struggling in the Premier League last season; where he averaged a disappointing 6.42 rating as the Cottagers slumped to relegation. Since joining, the England U’21 international has made seven starts for the North London club; contributing a goal in Spurs’ 3-1 defeat against Bayern Munich in December.
Where do you think Sessegnon's best position is?

Sessegnon should not be playing said it for weeks. He’s not ready for the PL doesn’t compete off the ball carrying him all game. #thfc

I’m not writing off Sessegnon, but he looks like he’s playing within himself. Looks like he has no confidence or conviction in his play which is concerning because at Fulham he was fearless. #THFC

Sessegnon is NOT a left-back… as I’ve been saying all season #COYS #THFC

These Spurs fans were clearly not happy with Sessegnon’s display against Norwich, with some commenting that the 19-year-old is simply not a left-back.
What do we think?
Sessegnon looked to be really struggling at left-back, evidenced by his disappointing rating, so perhaps Mourinho should play him further forward in the hopes that he can rediscover some of the form that saw the £31.5 million rated man earn the Championship Player of the Season award back in 2018.
