Spurs fans were delighted to hear some of Jose Mourinho’s quotes on Tanguy Ndombele in a press conference this week.
Ahead of the game against Norwich City, the Portuguese manager was asked about his 23-year-old midfielder, who has just returned to full training after recovering from the hip injury he suffered earlier this month. When discussing the French midfielder’s fitness, Mourinho said: “He’s the most important part of the plan. Not me or the sports science or the medical or the nutrition. It’s him, the crucial part of the plan” (per Football.London) (via Ricky Sacks).
Spurs signed Ndombele from Lyon in the summer for a club-record fee but he has struggled to adapt to the pace of the Premier League, with a succession of injuries and fitness issues keeping him from establishing himself as a regular in the first-team. The 23-year-old has started just 14 games for Spurs so far this season, so Spurs fans will no doubt be glad to see him back fit and will be hoping that he can start to really nail down a spot in Mourinho’s side.
Can Ndombele be a big player for Spurs this season?

These Spurs fans are clearly delighted with Mourinho’s comments on Ndombele and will be hoping to see him back in the starting eleven in the coming weeks.
What do we think?
It is good to see Mourinho back Ndombele but you imagine that the French international is rapidly running out of chances under the Portuguese manager and he will have to prove himself capable of playing regular football in the next few weeks.
